Wessex is a 3-year-old gelding from Ireland, trained by T D Barron, who operates out of Thirsk. He is the offspring of the stallion Kodi Bear and the mare Passionatta. Wessex has not yet achieved maiden status, having failed to win any of his 5 races to date. In his latest outing at Redcar on October 28, 2024, Wessex, ridden by Ben Sanderson, finished in 9th place, trailing behind the winner, Deputy.
