Van Near is a 3-year-old colt from Argentina, trained by Edgardo Traba. He is the offspring of the stallion Stay Near and the mare Flauta Van. So far, Van Near has not won a race, having raced three times without success. In his latest outing at San Isidro on October 6, 2024, he was piloted by Jairo Flores and finished in fourth place, trailing the winner.
