Sweyson is a 6-year-old brown gelding from New Zealand. He was bred by Stephen Ralph, a trainer based in Te Awamutu. Sweyson is the son of stallion Sweynesse and mare Our Philomena.
Despite two race attempts, Sweyson has yet to win. In his latest outing at Arawa Park on December 28, 2022, he finished tenth under jockey Vinnie Colgan, with Nine Realms taking the victory.
