Sun Bougainvillea is a 3-year-old female horse from Japan, trained by Hiroaki Sakurai. She is the offspring of the stallion Bamboo Ere and the mare Nebula. So far, Sun Bougainvillea has not achieved her first victory, with no wins in four races. In her latest outing at Mombetsu on May 23, 2024, she was ridden by Toshihiko Inoue and came in 8th place, trailing the winner.
