South American is a 9-year-old female horse from Japan, trained by Joji Tanaka. She is the offspring of the stallion Admire Max and the mare Samba Whistle. Throughout her career, South American has achieved one victory. On May 21, 2023, at Kochi, she was ridden by Katsunori Ureshi and secured her biggest win to date in Race 11 (C1), earning a prize of $1,020,601.00 by defeating Noah Musashi.
