Smooth Blues is a 6-year-old dark bay or brown gelding from the United States, trained by Lonnie Vaughn. He is the offspring of the stallion Monterey Jazz and the mare Rodinia. Smooth Blues has not yet achieved maiden status, having failed to secure a victory in 10 races. In his latest outing at Sunland Park on March 8, 2024, Smooth Blues, ridden by Jose Torres, finished out of the running, trailing behind the winner, Ima Bling Cat.
