Shinkansen is a 5-year-old chestnut gelding from Australia, trained by Douglas Whyte, who is located in Hong Kong. He is the offspring of the stallion Rubick and the mare Irish Teardrop. So far in his career, Shinkansen has achieved one victory. On January 4, 2024, at Happy Valley, he was ridden by Karis Teetan and secured his most notable win to date, earning $1,170,000 in the Class 4 Handicap by beating Travel Golf.
