Sam The Great

Sam The Great is a 7-year-old gelding from the United Kingdom, trained by J J Hanlon in Carlow. He is the offspring of the stallion Black Sam Bellamy and the mare A Fistful Of Euros. So far, Sam The Great has not achieved a victory, having raced once without winning. In his latest outing at Fairyhouse on December 16, 2023, he was ridden by Shane Fenelon and finished out of the running, trailing behind the winner, Chigorin.
