Mercantour

Mercantour is a 5-year-old gelding from South Africa, trained by Stuart Pettigrew. He is the offspring of the stallion Var and the mare Winter Wood. Throughout his career, Mercantour has achieved five race victories. His most notable win occurred on April 1, 2023, at Turffontein, where he was ridden by R Fourie and triumphed in the $156,250 Europa Point Man O’ War Sprint (Grade 3) for 3-year-olds, beating Gobsmacked.
