Machaon D’or is a six-year-old bay mare bred in Japan and trained by Teiichi Konno. Sired by Gold Ship and out of Million Wishes, she has achieved two victories in her racing career. Her most notable win came on January 5, 2022, at Chukyo Racecourse. Ridden by Kohei Matsuyama, Machaon D’or won the $36,874,104 race, beating out L’Excellence.
