Lariat is a 7-year-old dark bay or brown gelding from the United States, trained by Nancy Summers. He is the offspring of the stallion Southwestern Heat and the mare Charlotte’s Drone. Throughout his career, Lariat has won three races. His most notable victory occurred on November 6, 2023, at Zia Park, where he, with jockey Luis Valenzuela, secured a win in a $46,200 allowance race, beating Massive Roar.
