John O'groats

John O’groats, a 5-year-old gelding, was bred in France and is currently trained by Mark Gillard at Sherborne. He is the offspring of stallion Dabirsim and dam Ecume Du Jour. Despite 12 races, John O’groats has yet to win, remaining a maiden. In his last race at Brighton on May 30, 2023, he was ridden by Rob Hornby but finished without placing, behind the winner Alfred Cove.
