Japanese Star is a 4-year-old chestnut gelding from South Africa, trained by M F De Kock. He is the offspring of the stallion Danon Platina and the mare Virgo’s Babe. Japanese Star has not yet secured a victory, having raced five times without a win. In his latest outing at Turffontein on January 13, 2024, he was ridden by Jarryd Penny and did not place, finishing behind the winner, Green Flash.
