Island Star is a 4-year-old bay gelding from Ireland, trained by R Varian at Newmarket. He is the offspring of the stallion New Approach and the mare My Fairy. Throughout his career, Island Star has achieved one victory. On April 5, 2023, at Kempton, he was ridden by Ray Dawson and secured his most notable win to date, earning the prize in the $3,780 Unibet Support Safe Gambling Maiden Stakes (Division 1), beating Jeff Koons.
