The seven-year-old gelding from Patrick Webster’s stable has been a remarkable competitor for his owners, consistently racing at a high level for many years and earning nearly $4 million in prize money. Often underestimated, this galloper prepared for the spring season with a stylish win in the Group II Tramway Stakes at Randwick in September.

Happy Clapper began to showcase his true Group 1 ability at six, with a notable second-place finish behind It’s Somewhat in the $3 million Doncaster Mile in 2017. This season, his performance elevated significantly; finishing second in the Group 1 George Main behind the legendary Winx was commendable, and he eventually secured his first Group 1 victory in the Epsom at Rand.
