Critical Thinking, a five-year-old bay gelding with a black stripe down his back, was bred in the United States. Trained by Lydee Shea, he is the son of Overanalyze and Joels Last Laugh.

Critical Thinking has one career victory. His most notable win came on July 28, 2023, at Penn National. Ridden by David Cora, he won the $13,200 Starter Optional Claiming race, beating out Mr Jack.
