Courageous Clay is a 2-year-old dark bay or brown gelding from the United States, trained by Robert Medina. He is the offspring of the stallion Catholic Boy and the mare Scattered Thoughts. Courageous Clay has not yet achieved a maiden victory, having competed in three races without a win. In his latest race at Kentucky Downs on September 8, 2024, he was ridden by Tyler Gaffalione and secured a second-place finish, coming in behind the winner, Boy Boy.
