Chigorin is a 6-year-old gelding from Ireland, trained by H. De Bromhead in Waterford. He is the offspring of the stallion Shantou and the mare Dollar D’estruval. On December 16, 2023, at Fairyhouse, Rachael Blackmore rode him to his most notable victory, claiming the prize in the $5,575 Lacey’s Plumbing & Heating Supplies Maiden Hurdle by defeating Prince Palace.
