Catnip, a five-year-old dark bay or brown mare, was bred in the United States and is currently trained by Michael Stidham. Sired by Kitten’s Joy and out of the mare Masquerade, Catnip has earned four victories in her racing career.

Her most notable win came on June 17, 2023, at Monmouth Park. Ridden by Joel Rosario, she triumphed in the $75,000 Monmouth Stakes (Grade 3), beating out Never Explain. Catnip has consistently delivered strong returns for bettors, with a career return on investment of 301 percent.
