Cast Iron is a 8-year-old gelding from Ireland, trained by J.P. O’Brien in Kilkenny. He is the offspring of the stallion Midnight Legend and the mare Miss Bedlam. Cast Iron has not yet achieved maiden victory, with no wins in 11 races. In his latest outing at Thurles on February 9, 2023, he was ridden by J.J. Slevin and ended up unplaced, finishing behind the winner, Thecornerhouse.
