American Great is a six-year-old bay gelding from the United States, trained by Tara Reffner. He is the offspring of the stallion American Pharoah and the mare Red Carpet Miss. American Great has not yet won a race, having competed in seven events without a victory. In his latest race at Mountaineer on October 10, 2024, with Johariel Rodriguez as the jockey, American Great did not place and finished behind the winner.
