Almandez is a 4-year-old bay gelding from New Zealand, trained by Matt Cumani in Ballarat. He is the offspring of the stallion Almanzor and the mare Oyster Island. So far, Almandez has not achieved a maiden victory, having raced three times without a win. In his latest outing at Ballarat Synthetic on June 28, 2024, he was ridden by Eoin Walsh and came in 10th place, finishing behind the winner, Fortunate Gal.
